Math Testimonials

Dear Dr. Whitcraft,

Thank you so much for allowing me to be one of your students.  I cannot express my gratitude enough for both your time and teaching.  I was able to learn a lot about physics and mathematics from our time together, but also about believing in myself.  I came across a quote from William Ward that reminds me of you:

“The mediocre teacher tells.  The good teacher explains.  The superior teacher demonstrates.  The great teacher inspires.”

Thank you for being a great teacher and a source of inspiration.

A Finding That Should Interest Struggling Math Students

During high school, students are faced with some pretty tough courses and the one which always seems to give students the most difficulty is math.  Unfortunately, I am not an exception to this painful reality, and because of this fact, I decided my sophomore year of high school,  after a grueling first quarter of Honors Algebra II, that it was time to find a little extra help.

I found that help in Dr. Whitcraft.  He is a true mathematician who knows how to clearly explain everything from derivatives to parabolas, from Calculus to Algebra, basically this man is a mathematical genius!

Thanks to his approach on teaching math, I earned an A in Honors Algebra II (more specifically, my grade went from a 71% C to a 93% A) and a B in AP Calculus.
Not only will Dr. Whitcraft give your child the skills needed to increase their math grade, as I have proven, but he will also give them a newfound confidence when it comes to mathematics.

…  Again thank you for everything.  Though you were my tutor, I still think of you as the best math teacher I’ve ever had. Thank you,

Dear Dr. Whitcraft,
I wanted to thank you again for helping me with calculus.  The class and the homework would have been unbearable without your help.  You were able to teach me so much in such a short amount of time;  you are a wonderful teacher.  Your gift for math helped me stay on top of my studies.  Thanks for everything and I hope your summer is going well.

Dear Dr. Whitcraft,
I want to thank you so much for tutoring me these past couple of months.  You have been my “Calculus savior”.  Without you I would not have been able to get through this last quarter.  You taught me so much and helped me begin to get caught up in what I did not learn first semester. …

You were always willing to work around my busy schedule and you were always patient with me.  I hope you realize that you were the reason I made it through. …

If anyone ever needs a tutor, you will be the first person I recommend. You were an excellent teacher and I thank you so much.  I hope you have a wonderful Easter and great summer.

Thank you again!

Dear Dr. Whitcraft,
As you know when Kyle started working with you, his grade was less than average.  Within two weeks, Kyle’s test scores had improved to the range of around 82%.  At the end of the grading period, his grade had improved to a B-.  I recall Kyle telling me a few weeks into his sessions that you are “worth the money we pay”,  Kyle has had experience with a tutor before and never had these results.  Kyle looks forward to your help sessions and is relieved when they fall on the day before a test or quiz.  He doesn’t stress out or give up when he is confused, he is confident that you will help him through.

Thanks for all you have done for him and me!!
